There were rumors that Nintendo showed off the Switch 2 behind closed doors at this year’s Gamescom.

Zelda upgrade offer
Now this is backed by Eurogamer, who says the console will likely launch next year. Partners were able to see demos of the technology, including a visually upgraded version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – however, there is no indication that the game will be released in a new version, it should just be a demo to show what’s new with the console Able to.
Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite are equipped with 6.2 inches @ 1280 x 720 IPS (237 ppi). In 2021, the Nintendo Switch OLED was launched with a 7-inch display with the same 1280 x 720 resolution as the OLED, but therefore a lower PPI due to the larger screen: 210. When the consoles are placed in the dock, they max out at 1080p. It’s time for Nintendo to jump on the 4K bandwagon.

There is no hardware leakage
Eurogamer doesn’t have any specific details to reveal about the device’s internals, but there will be Princess Peach games next year. Also, Luigi’s Mansion 2 is coming, and Metroid Prime 4 has an unannounced release schedule. The latter in particular would be a title that could help sell the new console, a sequel to the hugely successful Switch that launched in March 2017. Maybe March 2024 is Nintendo’s plan?
At least we’re guessing the console has been implemented in most regions as Nintendo is confident enough to show it off to third-party partners.

The Switch launched in March 2017, and has since sold around 130 million copies.
