Apple has updated its help document to clarify what is required to fast charge your MacBook Pro 16 M3.
It’s expensive to charge Apple’s biggest and best devices quickly if you have to buy several of them
What we need is Apple’s “140W USB-C Charger” with “USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable.” So, as before, you need Apple’s own magnetic charging cable, MagSafe, to charge as quickly as possible. The cable has been verified to 240 watts.
The new cable is actually brand new and costs NOK 589. It is also available in five different colors. The 140W charger costs NOK 1,199, so you’ll have to spend it in total 1,788 Norwegian krone Charges from 0 to 50 percent in about 30 minutes.
The MacBook Pro 14 is the exception
Fortunately, both the cable and charger are included, but if you buy one of the 14-inch models, you’ll either have to pay an additional NOK 210 for a 96W fast charger. You can of course also quickly charge the smaller model with a 140W charger.
The 140W USB-C charger delivers fast, efficient charging – no matter if you’re at home, in the office, or on the go. It is compatible with a variety of USB-C charging cables. To take advantage of fast charging, Apple recommends connecting your 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021) with a USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable. You can then charge the battery from 0 to 50 percent in about 30 minutes.
