It was a heavy and demanding time. I hope and believe we will find each other again. I’m still married, and she’s a beautiful woman and a mother to our daughters, says Tellefsen in an interview Dagbladet.
The star violinist married in 2005 to 24-year-old Slørdahl. The wedding took place at the Norwegian Embassy in Stockholm. The couple must have known each other for many years before they finally found each other.
But after 15 years of living together, it was suddenly over. 85-year-old Arve Tellefsen doesn’t hide the fact that it’s hard to be alone, and that’s not how you picture aging.
It’s not always easy being in a relationship
And contact with the wife, as Bassem refers to her, and his two daughters, continues to be good.
But he still feels guilty that cohabitation has gone awry, and he admits that the age gap has become a bigger challenge than he previously thought.
– It’s sadness, and when it comes to children things get heavy. But Telifsen tells the newspaper that it’s not always easy being in a relationship.
Received an honorary award
For a number of years, he has toured all over the world and played with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. He received a number of awards, including five Spellemann Awards.
In 2009, the Tellefsen statue was unveiled in Trondheim. The unveiling was carried out by the two daughters of Tellefsen, who are now 17 and 19 years old.
