Josh Kerr shocked the entire athletics world when he claimed World Cup gold in the 1500m in Budapest.
Jacob Ingebrigtsen was the biggest candidate, but the Norwegian star had to settle for second place.
It has since become clear that the two runners have become genuine competitors, and this summer's 1,500m at the Olympic Games will in many ways be a highlight of the Tartan Run in Paris.
Kerr recently gave an interview to Citius MagWhere he talks about last year's gold and what is in store for this season.
– He says that my whole life changed after Budapest, and he says that he has a personal chef and new people in the team to handle the attention.

– It took a long time
After that, his star rose to the sky, and he himself felt that the attention had become much greater than before.
– Having my family in the square, with my fiancé, was my favorite moment. It took me a long time to land because I was constantly making sure that the people around me felt like they got their share of the pie.

Talking about Ingebrigtsen
The conversation turns to the big topic of summer, and Kerr is also keen to send a little jab in Sandnes' direction.
-I've mastered every level I've had the chance to experience, from England to the USA and now the world. “I know the pressure that comes with a race like this, and it's something I deal with well,” he says.
It continues:
– At the same time, I have to be realistic, because I know that I am not the current Olympic champion. It's Ingebrigtsen who holds that title, and it's one he stands to lose.
It was Jakob Ingebrigtsen who ran to a massive Olympic gold medal in Tokyo, where Kerr finished with a bronze medal.
