Robert Morse was born on May 18, 1931 in Newton, Massachusetts.

Robert Xavier Morse is best known for his role in the musical and movie “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying,” according to Wikipedia. He received a Tony Award for his efforts in this role. Six years later, in 1967, he starred in the film version of the same musical.
His career lasted for seven decades
Morse is also best known for his role as Bertram Cooper in the TV series “Mad Men”. He received two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Emmy Award for the role, according to www.npr.org.
Morse’s career spanned seven decades. During all these years he had a number of roles on stage, film and television, including in the hospital series “City of Angels”.
Robert Morse died peacefully at his home on April 21 after a brief illness. He left behind his wife Elizabeth Roberts and children Charlie, Robin, Hilary and Andrea.
Morse was married to Carol Ann D’Andrea from 1961 until they divorced in 1981. He later married Elizabeth Roberts in 1989.
