Brighton gave the go-ahead for a medical – contract in the works

He comes close to confirming Alexis MacAllister’s transfer. The news surrounding the Argentine’s position comes continuously, and sports journalist James Pearce published, on Tuesday afternoon, a report on an agreement between Brighton and Liverpool.

“Alexis McCallister has been given the go-ahead from Brighton for treatment if he chooses to go to Liverpool. Personal terms have been finalised, and he is expected to sign a five-year contract,” Pierce writes.

Paul Gorts and David Lynch of the Liverpool Echo reported the same as their colleague.

According to Pierce, the Argentine transfer fee should be about 45 million pounds, which can be called a kind of “bargain” compared to previous price indicators.

“There were many clubs interested, but even though Liverpool had missed out on Champions League qualification, his heart was set on moving to Anfield after positive discussions with Jurgen Klopp,” he further wrote.

Fabrizio Romano posted a similar piece of news earlier on Tuesday, and it looks like he’s right. The journalist said McAllister would complete a medical during the day.

He further wrote that Liverpool wanted to sign the contract on Wednesday, before the midfielder leaves for the national team assignment with Argentina.

It is also said that Jurgen Klopp and his team mates are interested in bringing more midfielders to Anfield in the short term. You can read more about it below.
