Business, Gralum | Matthias (28) leads a growing company – and has moved to new headquarters in Grålum

They have recently moved from the fortified town of Halden to a brand new building in the Tune Senter in Grålum.

– This is very central, says Matthias Torgalsboen (28 years old) from Haldense to Sarpsborg Arbederblad.

He is the Regional Director and Senior Consultant at Point Taken.

Founding company

Technology company Point Taken was founded by founder and managing director Rune Tangen in 2014. Today, the company has 70 employees. The company has offices in Oslo, Kristiansand and now in Grollom in Sarpsborg.

Point Taken is among several companies that are part of the Nova Consulting Group. Nova Group is a Nordic consulting company with 600 employees spread across companies in Norway and Sweden. The agency network is approaching NOK 1 billion in turnover.

Founder and Managing Director Rune Tangen of Point Taken says the company is looking to invest further in Østfold.

-We have successfully established this facility in Halden, but now we see the potential in Grålum. Grålum is a growing industrial area with many IT and other companies. We are now getting closer to these things,” Tangen tells SA.

Close to the business world

Point Taken is a company that provides Microsoft services to large and medium-sized businesses. They provide advice and consulting services on all Microsoft solutions and cloud services. Everything from SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dynamics CRM and Teams to name a few.

– The region in which we are now establishing ourselves has many exciting companies and institutions. Tangen believes that being in close proximity to them has something to offer.

– What is the background of the name Point taken?

-We call ourselves guides to a simpler everyday life. We understand our customers' needs, and provide them with the solutions they want and need. We can help you build a complete business solution, adapted to your business, explains Ron Tangen.

Central location

Regional Director Mathias Torgalsbøen believes the facility in Grålum is optimal.

-This will be the focal point for all of us in Ostfold. All employees have a local affiliation in Östfold. Meanwhile, it only takes 45 minutes to reach the Oslo office in Rhein, where we can maintain close cooperation with him. The location in Grålum is absolutely optimal for us,” says Torgalsbøen.

Point Taken has fairly large buildings in the Tune Senter.

-We took responsibility and invested. As we grow, we look for opportunities to lease and lease portions of office space. The long-term goal is to fill all the spaces ourselves, says Tangen.

Toll ring no obstruction

On 20 March, several toll stations were opened in Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad.

They'll free up money for massive road projects — and get us to drive less.

– Grålum is summoned in several ways. Have you thought about the cartoon episode?

– This does not stop our investment, confirms Matthias Torgalsboen.

-The most important thing is to be close to customers, and Rune Tangen follows that.

Point Taken currently has eight employees in the regional office in Grålum. They are currently hiring two new employees.
