The director of the Solsiden Shopping Center, Jonas Braad, assures Nidaros that it is the jewelry chain Aseco that will move into the old Tilbords building with the concept of “Aseco Stokkeholm”. Tilburd moved out of position at the end of January.
– We are excited to bring Aseco to Solsiden. Aseco has a strong concept and selection that will impress customers in Solsiden. We feel our customers are satisfied with the renovation taking place at Solsiden, and Aseco will be a significant contributor to the store mix at Solsiden,” he says in a press release that Nidaros had access to.
Opens after Easter
The plan is for the store to open after Easter. Frode Stokkeholm, General Manager of Aseco Stokkeholm, says in the press release that the Solsiden store will be the largest chain of stores. The area of the building will be more than 190 square metres.
– We are looking forward to opening a new store in Solsiden. Planning is now under way, and the store in Solsiden will not only be the largest in the chain, but also the first store in our new and more exclusive Aseco Stokkeholm concept, he says.
Stokkeholm describes the new concept as more exclusive with a better range of products.
– The store will be bigger and nicer, the quality and service will remain top shelf, and the prices will also be good.

Moving out of the circus
The first Aseco store was opened in Ålesund in 1965. Since then, the chain has expanded to many Norwegian cities, including Trondheim. Until now, the chain was based at Circus Shopping Mall.
It was already known that Kremmerhuset would take over the premises of the Carlings clothing store in the centre.
