A cookie is a mechanism by which your browser can take care of the information it receives from websites, and then send it back to the websites again later. This is done automatically without the user having to think about it.
Cookies may have many functions, such as tracking settings, which user you are logged in with, what you have access to, helping ensure you are getting the right content, tracking ad impressions and more.
Cookies allow such settings and other things to be tracked over time, so that the information is more easily accessible on repeated visits to the website. Cookies are also used for the temporary processing of information about the user when visiting different parts of the same website.
Two examples of the many functions a website uses cookies to maintain: one cookie is used to remember the volume setting in the video player, and the other is used to remember if you checked that info box so you don’t have to see it again the next time You are visiting this website from the same browser you are using now.
Cookies are automatically saved by your browser as small text files on your computer. You can change the settings for how cookies are handled in your browser.
Cookies can be provided by all types of content on the website, whether text pages, images or others. Cookies are only sent to the site from which you obtained them, and not to other sites.
Many websites, including this one, will not function properly if you do not allow the use of cookies.
This website stores cookies to manage three levels of functionality:

Portions of these are third-party cookies that are provided by third-party service providers. Analytical functions cookies are used to improve the website (which is subject to continuous development), but are not critical to the functionality of the website.
Advertising cookies are used by both internal and external advertising systems to track and track ad impressions.
There is a legal requirement that this information be made available to you as a user of websites that use these cookies.
