Two months ago, her house burned down completely. The family managed to get out of the house unscathed, but their four animals were lost in the fire.

“While I was getting my kids ready for bed in the bathroom smoke started seeping through the grout around the bathtub,” the 41-year-old wrote below the post.
Furthermore, Scorsone says that when she looked down the hall, a river of thick smoke had already formed in the house.
“I had about two minutes to get my three kids out of the house and we ran away without even a pair of shoes on our feet. But we got out. And for that I am forever grateful.”

Although Scorsone is grateful that she and her children got out of the fire safely, the family is mourning the incident.
“Heartbreakingly, we lost all 4 of our pets. We are still dealing with this loss, but we are lucky to have loved them at all.”

She thanks everyone who helped the family, and says goodbye to what she once called “home”.
