- Bayern Munich – Arsenal 1 – 0 (0 – 0, 3 – 2 on aggregate)
At the weekend, Arsenal were hit in the face when they suffered a home defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
A few days later, they were beaten in the face again.
The London club, as so often before, had to see themselves defeated by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Because it is not the first time the same result has been achieved.
In 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2017, Bayern Munich succeeded in beating Arsenal in the round of 16.

War of positions
Nothing separates Bayern Munich and Arsenal after three rounds of the Champions League quarter-finals.
It was clear from the beginning that neither team wanted to make mistakes in the first minutes. Aside from a few scary shots in both directions, there was little in the way of any significant scoring opportunities.
Manuel Neuer in the Bayern cage was given a bad test in the first half when Odegaard fired a shot through the German defence.
Arsenal player David Raya had to do his best after a long shot from Jamal Musiala, but neither team came close.
– There is no doubt that the score is 0-0 at the moment, stated Stamso Müller during extra time of the first half.
Minutes before that, Arsenal fans saw images they did not want while the captain was in pain. Odegaard buried his face in his hands, clearly suffering from pain in his knee. After a short minute he got to his feet.
In the following minutes, the elegant midfielder limped onto the pitch.
– TV 2's Simin Stamsø Müller noted that it is worrying.
– be cerfull
But the injury was not enough to prevent the Norwegian from entering the field in the second half. It was clear something had been said at half-time because the final 45 minutes started strong.
The home team was pinned twice. First a header from Leon Goretzka, before Rafael Guerrero's shot went over the post and went out for a corner kick.
With less than half an hour to go, Bayern Munich's relentless pressure saw the home team break through.
Rafael Guerrero finds Joshua Kimmich inside the penalty area. The German fell 1-0 to the home team.
– Arsenal have been warned. “Bayern are playing like they are playing at their best,” commented TV 2's Simin Stamso Müller after the goal.
– Arsenal was shaken, continued TV 2 commentator Haakon Thon.
For the home team, they had a scoreless home game.
– I haven't seen any team this season that was good at stopping Arsenal. They made good use of this opportunity, as Stamsø-Müller pointed out with just over ten minutes remaining.
Arsenal frantically chased an equaliser, but were unable to put Neuer to the big test.
Thus, Bayern Munich is the one who qualifies for the semi-finals. The winner of Manchester City and Real Madrid is waiting there. Follow additional tours here.
