For Chelsea, it was one thing to settle against Juventus. With a loss, the Italians will win the group, but with victory, everything will live until the last round.
Juventus won the first match 1-0, but when the two teams met on English lawn, there was a difference in the category.
Academy productions Reese James, Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi ended up in the scoring list – in what was a humiliating loss for the Italian giants.
– This is the academy and the whole club wants to see it. It also helps young players who are struggling to catch up. It’s something everyone can be proud of, Trevoh Chalobe said after the match.
In the Champions League studio, TV 2 experts took to the discussion about Chelsea being the best team in the world right now.
– I think, who is better than Chelsea? Simin Stamsø Muller says I’m having a hard time finding some clear candidates.
My feeling is that Manchester City and Liverpool are a little higher in the extreme days. But I think Chelsea have a more powerful team and it’s hard to break them more than 38 games in the Premier League. This title will be a tough battle, says TV 2 expert Morten Langley.

Shards of Joy – Key players out of injuries
But even though Chelsea played for Juventus, there were two big pieces of joy. Both N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell had to leave the field due to injuries.
Chilwell has pain in one knee and so does Kante. We know more tomorrow. Those are the two sad things about this match. “We can hope for the best,” says Thomas Tuchel after the match.
Romelu Lukaku is back on the bench with Chelsea after a long break due to injury, and he could see his side progressing after 25 minutes.
Trevoh Shluba was in the right place when the ball fell in front of him after a corner kick. The boy hit the ball into the net.
– It’s a dream come true. When I was young, I watched the Champions League a lot, and now I play here, says Shluba, who was named the best player on the field.
Shaloba sends Chelsea to the top
Juventus were terribly close to a tie, but experienced Thiago Silva continued to tackle hard on the line.
– Watch that stopper game! It’s great to watch football expert Morten Langley on TV 2.
Two great minutes from Chelsea
The second half started strong. Ten minutes went in when Reece James hit the ball in the chest and shot it into the opposite corner. Nice right back goal.
“It’s just so insane what it has to offer,” cried TV 2 commentator Robin Grov.
Reece James doubles the lead
After two minutes swipe again. Once again, it was the Chelsea academy players who took charge. Reece James and Robin Loftus-Cheek hit the ball before it landed on Callum Hudson-Odoi. The winger was tough when he hit the ball into the opposite corner.
They are bombing Juventus! Grove said Juventus look amazing.
In overtime, Timo Werner was honored to complete the humiliation. The German was safe when served by Hakim Zich. 4-0.
The win ensures that both Chelsea and Juventus stand on 12 points before the decisive final round of the group stage. Chelsea are ahead of Juventus at the table, so a victory over Zenit in the last game is likely to guarantee a group win.
