Oslo/Nedalen (Dagbladet): The premiere of this year’s “Star Battle” is in full swing, and this year’s ten promising artists have managed to show themselves to the public and TV viewers for the first time – in their own genre.
– I’ve never won anything
The sentiments were off the shirts of the participants and the judges, and it was the exclusive splurge that was offered on Saturday night.
Tone Damli, 35, can tell Dagbladet she had to avoid looking away at her daughter Billie, 9, who was sitting in the audience.
– I couldn’t look away. Because if I had seen the “Hello mum” poster, I wouldn’t have been able to sing. I was completely broke. So I deliberately walked away.
– But the fact that they’re here is pretty cool, Damley adds.
Moreover, the artist says that it was a good feeling to be on stage again.
– It does not run smoothly
– I was able to come, it was incredibly delicious! I might be a little hectic, but it must be fine for the first broadcast, I smiled.
And although she had a good time, she admits it was a little scary too, especially in the lead-up to the broadcast.
– This morning I had the feeling: “Why did I agree to this, I regret it.” But now I feel completely ill. It’s like I got married, graduated, and all at once.
And Damli wasn’t the only one who felt nervous before and during the broadcast.
Alexander With, 36, also admits that it was scary to stand on stage.
– How do you think it went?
– All went well, but there were quite a few nerves. There was no holiday today, so to speak, he says and adds:
And that’s what he’s doing now
– It’s nice to finally be ready for work. Maybe the nerves will be less present next time, so I can enjoy it more.
Possibly one of the most experienced participants this year, Mia Gundersen, 61, even felt the tension in her own body.
– It was quite nerve-wracking, even though I’m a gutted fox and have been on stage a lot before. My knees are shaking, says Gundersen.
No one had to leave the first broadcast of the competition, but the three artists with the most audience votes were revealed.
About grief: – Incomprehensible
Odd René Andersen (54), Elle Májjá Klefstad Bær (31) and Damien (37) receive the most votes in next week’s broadcast – the first participant must also leave the competition.
