“Maybe it will be difficult for me to give a paper flower bow to the handball guys,” Jacobsen wrote on his Instagram account.
He refers to an article on Radio Denmark dealing with: What do the women of the Danish national team spend their time on? Between World Cup campaigns.
Here they talk about everything from crocheting and crocheting to how tying paper flowers has become popular.
The Norwegian girls also spend all their time between matches doing everything from shared overtime to knitting and crossword puzzles.
– Read a little, watch a series, maybe crochet a little, but nothing more private than what you usually do when you want to relax, Hennie Rystad told NRK.
-And what knitting?
“It’s a Christmas present, so I can’t say that,” Rystad smiles.
Norwegian national team assistant coach, Tonge Larsen, relaxes by listening to music.
– Now there is Christmas music to get into the Christmas spirit.
Beer and peanuts
The response to the Danish national team manager’s Instagram post did not take long.
Among those who interacted in the comments section was Danish national team player Sarah Iversen. She thinks it’s all comedic, and responded to the post with three crying-with-laughter emojis.
– I thought it was very cool. She tells Danes that comment was absolutely legendary my housewho just jumped on the crochet trend.
– I often joke that if no one wants to make origami or crochet? But we have revealed a team more interested in table tennis, board games and music competitions, Danish defender Henrik Molgaard wrote under the post.
“There’s not always room for a modern wet guy like me and Michael Brun,” he adds jokingly.
Bron, who guarded the cage for many years in the Danish national team, also threw himself into the discussion:
-I’m coming for the peanuts and beer, but I don’t have a crochet stick yet, although it sure is cute.
– I’m not 100% ready for this, wrote Aalborg player Niklas Landen Jacobsen, who made his debut for the Danish national team in 2008.
Denmark is one of the favorites to win this year’s European Nations Cup and has won the last three World Handball Championships.
-We are very different
Norway’s national team captain, Stine Breydal Oftedal, followed parts of the discussion surrounding the profile of the Danish national team’s coaches.
– There is no doubt that Danish handball players have found a recipe for success over many years, so they can probably do well without having to fail. And then I think if ladies want it, they should be allowed to do it too.
Nora Mork does not allow herself to be provoked by the Dane’s actions.
– I think I fully support that. We are very different. What the handball boys do when they’re together, and if it’s good, it doesn’t matter. It was the last thing I spent time on.
Camilla Heerem laughs when NRK talks about the Danish national team coach’s comments.
– The most important thing is to be able to disconnect your head a little and calm your soul. The way people do, I didn’t use a single calorie.
