Erlind Elias Bragstad, 41, is a familiar face to many. Not only is he a famous fashion designer, but he has also been seen on TV shows like “Farmen kendis”, “Skal vi danse” and “Camp Culinaris”.
– I didn’t dare tell the family
In 2018, Bragstad lost her father to cancer, and she has long been outspoken about the grief that followed the loss.
Now, five years after his death, the 41-year-old is opening up again, and says it’s still hard.
“The grief of everyday life has become livable, but the loss is just as great. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t think of you, Father. I often find myself wanting to call you. It will probably be like this for the rest of my life here on earth.” One day we’ll see each other again,” the Instagram post opens with a photo of the two of them together.
“Dad, you were and still are so loved. I hope you’re here to see how good I am today.”
Father Per Bragstad died of prostate cancer in 2018. He was 74 years old.
Life is not a dress experiment
Bragstad has been open about his grief in the past, previously telling Se og Hør that his father was one of his biggest supporters.
My life stopped when my father passed away. Not from prostate cancer, but cancer was the beginning of the end for him.
The 41-year-old said at the time that his father had waited too long to tell him he was being treated for cancer.
– This Christmas is going to be so amazing
– He wanted to do without us, and he was from the quiet generation that blindly trusted the healthcare system.
The TV personality shared the sad news of his father’s death on Instagram on August 21, 2018.
“You have been my best friend, my role model, my boat, my safe haven, and my biggest supporter. You have sustained me to the end with your warmth and security. My life will never be the same. It’s like everyday life without me being able to call you and ask for advice or help or just talk,” he wrote at the time. I became very distant.
Se og Hør was in contact with Erlend Elias Bragstad, who stated that he had nothing to add to the matter.
