Christian Eriksen returned in national team uniform for the first time since cardiac arrest on Saturday night. After just two minutes on the field, he scored for Denmark.
It ended up beating opposing team Nederland, but Eriksen still dreamed of making a comeback in the national team context.
The happy evening, however, got a bit of joy when the Dane was interviewed after the match. That was when a coin was thrown at Eriksen, who was answering questions when he felt something cut his jacket.

The match was held in the Netherlands, where Eriksen played for Ajax earlier in his career.
– I felt very welcome. I’ve been here before, for many years, so they know me, but the welcome was very warm,” Eriksen told Sky Sports after the match.
Despite the fact that he tossed a coin, Eriksen seemed relatively unmoved afterwards. The Dane completed the interview before entering the locker room after the match.
