Football, Sports | Storklubb prepares to bid for Vetlesen

Bodø/Glimt have had a great season in Eliteserien so far. The Yellow Team has already made impressive progress in the league and, at the time of writing, appears to be on its way to the league gold. On Sunday, there was a 3-1 win over Vålerenga.

Vetlesen wanted badly in Belgium

Recently, interest in the club’s star midfield has been reported from Belgium and the Netherlands.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Feyenoord reached a verbal agreement with Hugo Vetlesen (23), and the same applies to the main Belgian club Club Brugge, Nettavisen writes on Monday.

Ronnie Della will coach the latter club, starting next season.

The interest from Belgium in particular is very tangible and, according to Nettavisen’s understanding, Club Brugge will prepare a boost in Vetlesen within a short period of time. The Belgian League ended on Sunday. Bruges finished fourth this season.

No deal

There is still no agreement with any clubs over a move to Vitelsen, but the Belgian giants have made Vitelsen one of their priorities this summer. The midfielder’s representatives were present during Glimt’s match against FIFA in Oslo on Sunday.

Vitelsen is eligible for the Norway national team in June. He has already been named in the squad for the European Under-21 National Team Championship which will be played at the end of the month. Nettavisen also knows there is more interest from clubs than Club Brugge and Feyenoord.
