Continuously and continuously, weirder things are popping up on Google Street View, a 360-degree visually-navigable map.
On August 23, a resident of Akron, Ohio, posted a photo to Facebook that is now circulating online.
This person clicked on Google Street View – and came across a guy pedaling around on a bike.
The man was carrying a large gray tarpaulin on his bike, Kennedy News reported.
According to an Akron resident, it looked as if a tarp had been wrapped around a corpse.
– I did it for my husband
– It’s a corpse!
True crime fans pounced on the image and analyzed every pixel, Kennedy News reports.
Some are absolutely convinced that they see bloodstains on the biker man.
“It’s a corpse!” one comment.
Many agree with this view, and believe that the pictures show how the feet of the “corpse” hang over the handlebars of the bike, while the head hangs behind the seat of the bike.
One person insists: “Yeah, that looks like a corpse.”
“Call the police!” writes another.
“Imagine a dead body rolling down the road and then you see a Google car drive by with all its cameras,” someone joked.
known to the homeless
Others pointed out that the stretch of road where the Google Street View car took the images, Kent Street, has long been known to have many homeless people.
Many believe that the photo, taken in June 2019, shows a homeless man moving his tent.
Until recently, there must have been a homeless camp near where the man was photographed by Google Car.
One commented, “This looks like a normal tent.”
Another wrote: “I hope this is a tent, not a corpse.”
– Cover up, you motherfucker!
That’s what the police say
An Akron police spokesman said they were confident it was not a body.
There is no indication that the body was actually removed, says the person concerned.
I changed pictures
Tent or not – The images from Kent Street, however, have attracted so much attention that Google has now changed the images.
If you check Google Street View now, the bike and what it’s rolling on have slipped.

– Not a corpse
After all the fuss, the person who posted the photo on Facebook wrote a new post, according to the news agency.
The person also states that it is not a corpse, but a tent.
The person says it was fun following up on the comments, as things were hot.
“A picture is worth a thousand words. And the comments were hysterically funny. The truth is, he might have been moving his stuff from a homeless camp that used to be here,” the person writes.
Google has not yet commented on the images published by US media.
