After nearly five months of good news, Kristofferson says he is enjoying his new life at home.
-Being a father is absolutely wonderful. He's growing and starting to turn on his stomach, he says with a big smile around his mouth at a digital press conference ahead of this weekend's race in France's Val d'Isère.

I think it helps athletically
He also says that life as a top athlete has remained largely unchanged. There are still hours of training and travel on the list, but the carrot waiting at home in Norway is now bigger than ever.
– It's so nice when you come home and see that he's starting to recognize you and smile and laugh. it's a wonderful feeling. Becoming a parent is something I wish for anyone who wants it. It's a big thing, Kristofferson says.
-Do you think being a father can help you in sports?
– Yes, I totally think so. In the course of professional life, things change. Given the stage I'm at, having played in World Cups for many years and having expectations of myself, it's very positive to have something to relax with when I get home.

It's been 12 years since Kristofferson really showed himself on the ski slopes. When he was 17 years old, he won his first junior WC gold medal and his first European Cup title.
Today, he is 29 years old and has managed to become a world champion in both giant slalom and slalom, as well as two Olympic medals.

He believes that becoming a father on a previous occasion would not have been a positive thing for his career.
