Kidnapping, rape and human trafficking

Police said the two British brothers had been under investigation for several months for kidnapping two young women in the town of Volentari.

They are also suspected of committing rape and forming a human trafficking organized criminal group. Two Romanian citizens belong to this group, in addition to the two brothers, the press release says.

According to the police, the brothers recruited victims by pretending to have intentions of marrying or having affairs with them, a tactic known as the “boyfriend” method.

They were later moved and housed in buildings where they were sexually exploited by members of the group, with the help of physical violence and mental coercion.

Moreover, they write that the victims were forced to participate in pornography, with the aim of passing it on for financial gain. So far, six people have been identified who were exploited by the criminal group, say the police.

No names were given in the press release, but Romanian media reported Thursday night that the British brothers had been identified as Andrew and Tristan Tate.

A video released in the Romanian media shows Tate being led from a building by three police officers into a police car. There is a lot of current press.

Andrew Tate has stated things like “the woman belongs in the house”, that she “cannot drive”, and that it is “the property of the man”. He also believes that rape victims should “take responsibility” for the attacks they suffer, he wrote Watchman in August.

Thunberg bite

On Wednesday, Gretha Thunberg took a little jab at Tate, after he addressed this message to her:

“Hi Greta Thunberg. I have 33 cars,” Tate wrote, explaining how big the engines Bugatti and my two Ferraris have.

“This is only the beginning. Please give me your email so I can send you the full list of my car combinations and the gargantuan emissions of each,” Tate writes.

Thunberg replied:

“Yes, please enlighten me,” Thunberg responded Wednesday, adding:
