Iran sent drones against Israel

Iran launched its retaliatory attack on Israel by sending several drones against the country, according to the Israeli military.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said, according to Reuters news agency, that the attack began on Saturday evening.

According to Hajari, it will take several hours before the drones reach Israel. He says the country's defense is ready for drones.

We ask the public to listen and follow the instructions of the authorities and the Israeli army.

The Israeli army states that it is constantly monitoring the situation. On X, videos are circulating of what is supposed to be the attack.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said on Saturday that it had launched dozens of drones and missiles against specific targets in Israel, according to what Reuters reported.

Full readiness

Earlier this month, seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were killed in an attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, for which Israel has been accused of being behind.

A senior Iranian general was killed. Israel did not claim responsibility for the attack, but the US Department of Defense said that the attack was Israeli.

Israel was placed on high alert, and all schools in the country were closed. Israel has not used similar measures since the festival attack last year.

The Guardian reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement regarding Iran launching several drones into Israel.

– Whoever harms us, we will harm him, Netanyahu says.

Middle East affairs researcher Dag Tostad confirms that the attack was expected, and that the question now is whether this sign is sufficient for Iran and Israel.

– It is believed that Iran is forced to respond to the Israeli attack, but at the same time it does not want a direct change in the situation.

Therefore, Tostad believes that the situation can be calmed, unless the Iranian drone attack leads to a higher Israeli death toll. And then the situation will develop in a dangerous direction.

– If Israel attacks Iran again after this response, it will be a dangerous development in the war. Then Iran will press the “Hezbollah button,” and then we are talking about massive amounts of missiles that will be sent towards Israel, the researcher says.

It may be more dangerous for Israel than anything it has faced since 1948.

Israeli citizens are required to follow any orders that may be issued by the military, which monitors all incoming missiles and other aerial threats.

Saturday evening the state will report Kingdom Satellite Channel Jordan closes its airspace as of midnight on Saturday, local time. Iraqi airspace was also closed, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, according to Reuters news agency.

Iranian special forces boarded a ship in the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. British military officials reported the attack and said that “regional authorities” were behind the kidnapping, which occurred outside Fujairah.
