Ireland: – Bought a birthday cake – Died in an explosion

On the afternoon of Friday, October 7, ten people were killed and one person A gas station exploded in Chrislog, Ireland.

No criminal activity is suspected

During Sunday’s police press conference, five other victims were identified as James O’Flaherty (48), Jessica Gallagher (24), Martin McGill (49), Hugh Kelly (59) and Martina Martin (49).

The cause of the explosion is not yet known.

– As investigators, we have to keep an open mind, but the information so far indicates that this incident is tragic, said Police Inspector David Kelly during the press conference.

On Wednesday of this week, the first confirmed funeral will take place.

King Charles offers his condolences

The Prime Minister of Ireland, Michael Martin, visited the site of the accident the day after the explosion.

A little boy in a shop lost his life. So did two teenagers with men and women. The Prime Minister said it was truly a tragic, shocking accident.

Monday afternoon pass Britain’s King Charles sent his deepest condolences.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss also expressed her sympathy to the local community in the Irish village.
