– He lost the entire universe
Born on 7 June 1943 in Pinset in Trondheim, he worked at the Trondelag Theater for a number of years. He is perhaps best known for his role as Fleetfried Andersen, a role that was first introduced to audiences via radio.
The success was immediate, and Fleetfried eventually became a popular figure performing on several stages across the country.
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, he told Adrisa that he had not drawn the character for ten years.
– It’s been 30 years with Fleetfried, and that’s a lot for a character like this, many of which don’t last long. This was one of the things he said to the newspaper in connection with the anniversary day, which happened on June 7 this year.
For the past 25 years, Esp has lived in Trondheim.
