On Tuesday of this week, Carter Jr. said on one occasion, he visited his grandfather two weeks ago.
– I said to him: “Grandpa, people ask me how you are, and I say I don’t know.” Then he replied, “Well, I don't even know myself.” “But he’s still here,” the younger Carter said from the podium.

At 99 years old, Jimmy Carter is the longest-living former US president.
In February 2023, Carter decided not to receive further medical treatment, after several short hospital stays. Palliative care, also known as palliative care, is provided to those with chronic illnesses, often incurable cancer.
