Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool | Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool’s injury report

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed in a press conference on Wednesday that the club is suffering from injuries to key players.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker and striker Diogo Jota will miss the next few matches.

– They’re both out. Alisson’s injury is slightly less serious. So we’ll just have to wait and see. He can’t play on Thursday, this weekend, and maybe not next weekend either, but after that he should be able to come back, says the German in the press conference.

– With Diogo, it will take a little longer. I don’t know exactly, but it’s more dangerous. Klopp says: We have to look at it.

It is expected that second goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will act between the goal posts, while Alisson Becker will be absent.

In attack, Liverpool remain well stretched with the likes of Cody Jacobo, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.

Liverpool have struggled a lot with injuries this season and Klopp believes it is important to have as many players as possible fit for the game.

– In this busy time, everyone must be available. But there are already many who are not. Thiago and Andy Robertson are out, and now Ali and Diogo are out too. The German says the situation is violent.

– It would be nice if there weren’t more now. But this is unlikely. We have to distribute the density among the players in the group.

Liverpool will meet Austria’s LASK Linz in a Europa League match on Thursday, while the Reds will host Fulham in a Premier League match at 15:00 on Sunday.
