Immigrant billionaire and investor Kjell Inge Røkke is Norway’s highest earner in 2022.

32-year-old unknown

Røkke had an income of NOK 411 million in 2022, and he paid NOK 78 million in taxes.

Kristoffer Daniel Norambuena, a hitherto unknown 32-year-old who was ranked 7th last year, dropped out of this year’s list.

Second on the list is Ranvik Bergstall from Larvik. She is the daughter of Jacob Solgaard, one of the two founders of the Jacken Group, which sells packaging. He earned NOK 392 million last year, which is NOK 19 million less than Røkke.

Jacken became part of the Peavy Group listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2022.

In third place is high-profile investor Øystein Stray Spetalen. His income in 2022 was NOK 353 million. This made him a solid improvement on the list from 2021 when he was ranked 85th.

The tax settlement for 2022 shows that over NOK 1,700 billion in tax was paid last year.

– This is the highest number we have ever recorded in a tax settlement, and is due to a large increase in petroleum tax. But for companies, wage earners, pensioners and the self-employed, the figure is higher than in previous years, says tax director Nina Schönge Fannemark.

The heirs of Mon and Ferd fell further

Bergen billionaire and investor Trond Mohn was the top earner in 2020.

Last year he was ranked 24th, but this year he dropped to 90th with an income of NOK 51 million.

Ferd’s successors, Alexandra Kamlemshak Andresen and Katharina Kamlemshak Andresen, also fell. Both billionaire John H. Andresen’s Daughters. Together they own an investment firm called Fert.

Last year, the sisters finished 6th and 23rd respectively. This year, Alexandra can be found at number 17 with an income of NOK 133 million, while Katarina drops out of the top 100 list.
