– Some of the old people in Knappstadt have been wanting to put up benches for a while. Per Finset, who was a former board member, made sure to collect some awards and set up seats, says the current chairman of the Knapstad Vel board, Magnus Vedum Bøe.
The benches were purchased from Trogstad Prison. The Hobøl Pensioners Association especially wants this, and will use the seats.
– We have created benches around Knapstad as places to rest, both below and above, and this is especially important for pensioners.
A bench on the footpath between the Kiwi Knapstad exit and the roundabout to Elvestad/E18 was badly damaged after being in place for several years, but after the message arrived on the Facebook group, Per Finset abruptly fixed it the next day.
– He is passionate about such things, – says Bowie about the ex-president.
– How did you put this in place so quickly?
– Well, we’ll deal with it right away. In addition, it is much easier for us as individuals to put such things in place than for the municipality.
New lists were drawn up, if the prison did not have more seats to hand over at this time. The reform led to a positive response.
– There were quite a few likes and comments, so we got a lot of pleasant comments, says Bøe.
