Relations between North Korea and Russia have raised concerns in the Western world.
In 2023, Kim Jong Un's regime delivered more artillery shells to the Russian army than the European Union was able to deliver to Ukraine.

Visit Russia
Now the two countries may be even more connected, because North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui will visit Russia next week – from Monday to Wednesday.
She is scheduled to meet here, among other things, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
In this regard, Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, spoke to the state television channel Russia -1.
She says, according to the news agency, that we are developing relationships in various fields with our partners palm.

“Western speculation”
Zakharova also says she expects “Western speculation” regarding the visit to North Korea.
– There will be a lot of them. The West always comes up with a narrative that somehow Russia is behaving differently, and that we have no right to communicate with North Korea, she said in the TV interview.
– Russia has every right to do what we consider necessary, says Zakharova.
Diplomatic relations between North Korea and Russia have become increasingly close. In October, Sergei Lavrov was on an official visit to Pyongyang on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the communist regime.
