Bronnie James, 18, son of basketball legend LeBron James, 38, is said to have been hospitalized due to cardiac arrest on Monday. He’s out of danger.
“Yesterday, Bruni suffered a cardiac arrest while training. Medical staff treated Bruni and took him to hospital. He is in stable condition and is no longer in intensive care. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update the media when we have more information,” a spokesperson for the James family said. TMZ Sports.
TMZ cites sources that say the 18-year-old, who is the son of Lakers star LeBron James, 38, was unconscious and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
“LeBron and his wife, Savannah, would like to express their deepest gratitude to the medical and athletic staff at USC for their work and commitment to athlete safety,” the spokesperson said.
The 18-year-old signed this season for college team USC in Los Angeles, where he was supposed to play his only college season before his pro and NBA career.
LeBron James previously stated that he would “do anything to play with his son in the NBA,” and many assumed that was one of the reasons the 38-year-old still hasn’t given up.

The statement led to rumors in the NBA community that if you pick Bruni in the next year’s NBA draft, you’ll get Sr. in a one-season “deal.” LeBron James has a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers until 2023/24 with the possibility of a one-season extension.
The question now is whether the cardiac arrest will have consequences for Bronny’s future career as a basketball player, and whether he will have the opportunity to play for USC when the season begins in November.
