Logitech has partnered with Tencent.
Will there be support for more than Xbox and GeForce now?
The company has announced that later this year it will launch a portable game console that can connect to Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now.
The press release states support for a number of cloud services, including two from Microsoft and Nvidia – so you’ll probably get support for more. Tencent is interested in Software Services.
No company wanted to reveal anything more than this, and there are no pictures of the product.
So far, we only have quotes from both sides:
Logitech G’s leadership in PC and game consoles makes it an ideal partner to help us achieve our vision of providing a better gaming experience to gamers around the world. Today marks the beginning of a new opportunity for our companies to push the boundaries of gaming hardware even further.
Daniel Wu, General Manager, Tencent Games Intelligent Solutions Innovation Lab
As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing, and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation, which is why we partnered with them. As someone who grew up playing video games, the idea of being able to stream and play AAA games just about anywhere is really exciting, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on.
