Large parts of English football are in mourning following the death of Sheffield United’s Maddy Cusack on Wednesday.

The death was confirmed on the club’s website on Thursday evening.

Cusack, who has played for Sheffield United since 2019, is just 27 years old.
The cause of death is currently unknown.
A number of English clubs sent condolences on social media.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Burnley, Leeds and Newcastle are among the teams to have expressed their support following the tragic news.
