Today, the club came out condemning the behavior.
“Manchester United stands in solidarity with Liverpool FC and its supporters in commemorating the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy,” a statement read.
“Songs insulting to tragedy are totally unacceptable and we will work with our support groups to educate fans on this topic.”

Liverpool politician, Ian Byrne, is among the supporters of the Legacy of True Truth project which will support education about the truth and what happened after the tragedy.
Andy Burnham, Mayor of Manchester since 2017, says:
– The people who went to that fight over it, time knew that any of us could have been in a terrible situation that day.
Football has changed a lot since then, and therefore it is important to ensure that younger generations continue to understand the atrocities.
