The Norwegian twins will have a huge security system during the singing competition.

– We have a security team that will take care of us there, Marcus Gunnarssen tells the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

Markus and Martinus Gunnarsson will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Unforgettable”. The final will be held in Malmo on Saturday, May 11.

The newspaper reported that the two 22-year-olds were given instructions on how to enter the square and other security matters.

They should only focus on their performance, while the security team takes care of their performance, says Martinus Gunnarsen.

– For us, it feels very good, he tells Aftonbladet.

The singing competition is particularly controversial this year, after the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) decided to allow Israel to participate – despite the war in Gaza.

4,000 artists from the Nordic countries are among those who have called for a boycott of Israel at Eurovision.

It was announced last week that Norwegian and Danish police will help Sweden ensure security during the competition.

Up to 100,000 visitors are expected to visit Malmo from May 5 to 11, the final big day. Police in Malmö have received several requests to organize demonstrations.
