Mercedes has spent huge sums developing its wildest street car ever: the AMG ONE.
Only 275 copies of the Formula 1 technology-equipped supercar will be made. In many ways, the car is as close as possible to a real Formula 1 car – with flaps.
After many delays, the first examples of the extreme car are now rolling out onto the roads.

Recently, however, the unthinkable happened. The world lost one of the 275 copies planned.
During transport, in a closed trailer in England, the AMG ONE suddenly caught fire. The car was assembled, but fortunately no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but many media outlets are now speculating that it may be the battery pack and hybrid powertrain that may have caused the fire.
It must be said that the car was not yet fully assembled, and some work remained before it was fully completed.
– We are aware of this incident where a car was transported in a covered trailer as part of the production process. Fortunately, as far as we know, no one was hurt. At the moment, we do not know the cause of the fire and, if necessary, will contribute to the insurance company’s investigation, says a Mercedes spokesperson.
There are only two of these in Norway

28 million
The drive line of the AMG ONE consists of a turbocharged petrol engine and a total of four electric motors, of which one is integrated into the turbocharger, one is mounted directly to the internal combustion engine, and the remaining two are mounted to the front wheels.
The internal combustion engine is a 1.6-liter six-cylinder petrol engine – taken from Formula 1.
Total output is an insane 1,063 horsepower.
Acceleration vanishes from zero to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Most impressive are the 0-200 and 0-300 km/h sprints of 7 and 15.6 seconds respectively. Maximum speed: 352 km / h.
The monster cost around NOK 28 million – before Norwegian taxes.
