Facebook owner Meta plans to launch a microblogging service, Threads, as early as Thursday, according to Reuters. At the same time, there is a buzz around Twitter.
The news agency reported that the themes are expected to launch on Thursday, according to Apple’s App Store.
It is a text chat application that can be linked to Instagram accounts. Further, it says that you can keep your Instagram username and follow the same accounts on Topics as on the photo-sharing service.
Twitter has been hard to use in recent days, after owner Elon Musk introduced a temporary limit on the number of Twitter messages users can read per day. Additionally, the company suffered from advertisers pulling out after Musk took over.
The company announced Monday evening that the Tweetdeck functionality will be behind the paywall. The feature, which was free, allows users to organize the accounts and lists they follow into multiple rows in the same browser window, making it easier to monitor several accounts at once.
