His former classmate, Bridget Everett, confirmed the death in tribute via her Instagram account.
“It is with great sadness that the family of Michael J. Hagerti announced his passing yesterday in Los Angeles,” the actor wrote.
I loved Mike from the moment I met him. It was very special. Cozy, funny, I’ve never met a stranger. We broke this demise. Mike was loved by the cast and crew of Someone Somewhere. Our thoughts go to his wife and family.”
