David Datro Fofana’s former club Abidjan City believes Molde stole the striker from them and has complained to Molde at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The managing director of Molde, Ole-Erik Stavrum, reports the complaint to The daily newspaper.
– We hope Moldy loses everything. We ask CAS to suspend Molde from signing players for two years, Abidjan City president Marco Ne told Dagbladet.

Abidjan City brought the case to FIFA nearly two years ago.
Molde believes Fofana was without a contract when they brought him in. The Ivorian club claims that the player was then under contract with them.
Fofana was recently sold to Chelsea.
– We fought for two years for this cause. People think it was only on the agenda because Fofana went to Chelsea. This is not true, this issue has been going on for a long time. First by federation, then by FIFA, before now by CAS, Nie tells the Norwegian newspaper.
Stavrum assures Dagbladet that there is an ongoing dispute at CAS.
– Moldy and the player have complete confidence in their position, but will not comment further until the matter is resolved. However, we can confirm that the dispute is not related to Chelsea and has no bearing on the transfer of Datro Fofana from Molde FK to Chelsea, writes Molde Top.
