The book, which bears the same name as the main character, has already made headlines and topped the bestseller list on online giant Amazon – several days before its release.

On the website of the second largest bookstore in the United States, Barnes & Noble, “Elon Musk” is currently ranked 17th.

Waiting at the top of the list

Back home, publishing giant Cappelen Damm acquired the copyright.

Among other things, the book will contain descriptions of Musk’s turbulent childhood in South Africa and “remarkable stories of triumph and turmoil.”

Isaacson has previously written biographies of Apple founder Steve Jobs and father of the theory of relativity, Albert Einstein, to name a few.

On Sunday, he posted images from the book on Twitter/X:

Meanwhile, Musk’s social media was filled with memes of the hashtag #ElonWarCriminal.

The background is that the founder of Tesla and SpaceX gave the order to shut down the Starlink network near Crimea last year, according to the biography, to stop a Ukrainian attack on Russian naval vessels.

Musk later tweeted that he had not turned off the web, but refused to turn it on.
