Namsos: – This year’s folk festival in Namdalen tempts the organizers.
“Now we can be invited to a folk festival, and hopefully it will be a nice tradition in the future,” Mayor Frod Patnes said before giving his first band on Friday night – Lava.
The first history version of the Namsos Festival has been postponed by two years due to the pandemic.
But Friday night the wait is over.
After two years of restrictions, there is no doubt that the Namdalings are eager to meet again. And they did so on opening day, as Dom Dom Boys concludes the first day of the Namsos Festival.
It has been a long time since so many people gathered in the center of Namsos.
No wonder organizer Bård Hansen grins at the influx of spectators.
– There are 3,200 here, he says, very happy and relieved that the festival is going on now.
