Several people, including children, were killed in Russian air strikes on the city of Sumy, east of the capital, Kyiv, according to a Ukrainian official.
At least nine people were killed in bombings in Sumy last night, AFP reported.

The bombs also hit oil depots in Zhytomyr and the neighboring city of Chernyakiv, west of Kyiv, according to the AP news agency, while Mayor Anatole Fedoruk in the Kiev suburb of Bucha reported artillery fire, according to NTB.

Poland will support the delivery of combat aircraft
