The hotel, where Jean-Michel Gathy was responsible for the interior design, is said to be a homage to Aman’s philosophy of creating hotels that transcend popular notions of luxury, while also paying tribute to the building’s architecture and history. Aman New York will consist of 83 hotel rooms as well as restaurants, a garden terrace, a bar with an outdoor terrace of 7,000 square metres, a private club for members, a three-story Aman resort, a jazz club and a wine room.

Brazilian luxury hotel chain Fasano opened this fall a new hotel in a small fishing village in southern Bahia, Brazil, with 40 floors spread over 300 hectares – of which 100 are protected natural areas.
