NEW YORK (Dagbladet): A man was killed Monday evening when another man pushed him off a subway station platform at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan and in front of an oncoming train.

The accident occurred at 18:48 local time. According to police, the man was pushed just before the train reached the platform. Thus the train had no chance to stop.
The police have not yet announced the name of the person who was killed or the person who was arrested.

This episode is currently the latest in several violent episodes surrounding New York's subway system. Earlier this month, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced she was sending the National Guard and state police to improve security on the subway.
