Information is constantly leaking about Nintendo's upcoming console, the heavily upgraded Switch.
10 million only for the first round
It's not known what part of the year the gaming giant will launch the new console, but we'd be surprised if it was in March, the month the first generation launched seven years ago – there simply isn't enough time.
It was rumored to be released in the second half of this year in the summer of 2023. Furthermore, the console was supposed to be showcased at Gamescom where it was revealed that it features DLSS.
Regardless of when Nintendo chooses to reveal and launch the big upgrade next, the company is rumored to be very confident that the Switch 2 will sell in large quantities. The latest numbers from Asia, where the consoles are manufactured and assembled, indicate that Nintendo has plans for production 10 million copiesThis was in the first wave of launch.
At the same time, the price is rumored to be $400, which probably means around 5,000 kroner here at home (and perhaps more, as the OLED model costs 4,000 kroner), and that the display will not be of the OLED variety, but an affordable panel technology. And at 8 inches – 1 inch more than OLED. An OLED model may come later. And that's exactly what they did with the first generation. However, the larger OLED model came a full four years after Nintendo released the Switch 1.
