This spring, several budding artists have won the admiration of audiences and mentors on TV 2's “The Voice.” The final is fast approaching, and only a small group of participants remains.
Among those impressed week after week is Nola Kvarmi (16 years old). She charmed the judges, but found it unnerving to be on stage.
-I think it's very scary to stand on stage in front of people. “I didn't do it much, and I was a bit reticent about it,” Kvarmi adds. TV 2.
Nola is the daughter of actor Geir Kvarmi (60 years old), known among others for the “Fridriksson Factory”. He sat in the hall several times and cheered for his daughter. So do Nola's other father, Sebastian Sandberg Kvarmi (58), and his twin sister Anna (16).
Nola tells TV 2 it was good to be able to get advice from her stage-regular father.
– He was very clear about what you can experience when you stand on stage in front of people, she says.
Nola and her twin sister were born via surrogacy in California in 2007. The family has always been open about this, even in the media.
In February this year, Anna appeared in an interview with VG On this particular topic.
-I've always known what I've become. She told the newspaper that having two parents is something that stands out a little in our society, although it has become more normal since we went to primary school.
Now that Nola is showing off her talent on prime time, there's no doubt that she has proud parents behind her. On Instagram, Gere shares some insights into what makes his daughter's performance special.
“Nola is achieving something in her generation, but also in generations younger and older than her. This is evident in all the wonderful feedback she receives. There is so much beyond words,” the actor writes.
In a new interview with TV 2 Nola's family believes she has one quality in particular that could prove decisive in the TV 2 show's final.
-I know a little about being on stage and being under pressure. And there's something about dedication, focus, and being your best when it matters. Nola has that quality,” says Abi Geir Kvarmi.
Nola also skates, so sports are a big part of daily life outside of The Voice circus. The actor's father believes this will come in handy in the final on Friday.
– Totally unacceptable
On the other hand, he is honest with TV 2 that it would be nice to stop promoting “The Voice.”
-I think people are tired of me on social media. “Vote, remember and vote, now we're here again,” meaning I think this happens before people start deleting all my posts. “So it would be good to finish it,” says Kvarmi.
Neither Nola nor Geer wanted to be interviewed about this matter.
