Norway will have to wait until next year

Explore the new Elite plugs and headphones with Sony’s proprietary wireless technology for what they believe is the best way to transmit sound. The products will launch in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on December 6th and can be pre-ordered on November 9th.

The Elite headset will launch “in most global markets” from February 21, 2024, so we don’t know what will happen with the Explore and Norway – it probably won’t come until much later.

The Playstation Link USB Adapter comes with both products, but can also be purchased separately for €24.99 as of December 6. The adapter will also be rolled out to more countries “in the coming months.” It is not known when Playstation Portal will be released in Norway.

There is currently no release date for the Elite plugs in Norway.

As we reported on the audio products in August:

“Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore utilize Playstation Link, a new wireless audio technology. According to Sony, the innovation provides ‘low latency, lossless audio and easy switching between multiple PlayStation Link hosts such as the PS5 with a USB adapter and PlayStation Portal.’

“When using the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore with PS5, the USB adapter included with each PlayStation Link headset and earplugs is required. The PlayStation Link USB Adapter will also be sold separately and can be used on PC and Mac, allowing gamers to connect to the Pulse Elite Or Pulse Explore to experience the same lossless audio with low latency. There is also support for simultaneous connection via Bluetooth for example. Mobile”
