The Pakistani government has decided to put the conflict with Iran behind it, Pakistani Radio reported.
On Tuesday, Iran carried out a missile and drone attack against what it described as terrorist targets in Pakistan, and two days later Pakistan opened fire on targets in Iran.
The United Nations and the United States asked countries to calm down, while China offered to mediate.
On Friday, Pakistan's Prime Minister called for an emergency meeting. That same afternoon, Geo TV reported that the government had decided to put the dispute behind it.
At the same time, the government provided full support for the resumption of full diplomatic relations with Iran, sources told the radio.
