Police have called a press conference on the search for Torjus Seland

There they will talk about the Central Rescue Service's evaluation of the search operation after seven years.

Seven-year-old Torjus Seland was reported missing in October last year when he went hunting with his family in Lindesnes, Achter.

Two days later, he was found dead on a stone slab under a large rock.

A police dog patrol found him in a forested area about three kilometers away as the crow flies from where he was last seen.

Several hundred professional search teams and volunteers searched for two days, with helicopters and drones searching from the air.

On Tuesday, Akter police district will call a press conference where the main rescue center will present a report on the search operation.

During the press conference there will be:

  • Chief of Police Kerstin Askold
  • Department Director in Southern Norway Ketil Lusand of the Central Rescue Centre
  • Deputy Chief of Police Morton Sjstol
  • Chief of Staff Vidar Arnesen

Several volunteers who participated in the search operation responded that the police did not allow them to enter the area where the seven-year-old boy was found.
