Prince Harry avoided Queen Camilla during a surprise visit to the UK, according to a close friend

During the Duke of Sussex's visit to London last week, he spent a total of 24 hours in his home country, spending less than an hour with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles (75 years old).

According to Petronella White, a friend of Queen Camilla (76 years old), Harry “preferred not to be in the same room with his stepmother when he spoke to the king about his cancer diagnosis,” as she wrote in her article. Telegraph.

Harry revealed his feelings towards Queen Camilla in his book “Spear,” published last year, in which he described her as “dangerous” and referred to her as “evil.”

Charles pleaded

Prince Harry, 39, also claimed that the stepmother leaked stories about the royal family to the media to maintain her image and increase her popularity.

I have complicated feelings about having a stepfather who I thought recently sacrificed me on his PR altar. I remember wondering if she would be cruel to me, or if she was like all the evil stepmothers in stories“, Harry writes in the book.

Harry wrote that Camilla's need to rehabilitate her image after she was a “villain” in the British press made her “dangerous” to him “because of the relationships she had established with the British press.”

It later emerged that the revelations in the book had “hurt” Camilla.

Prince Harry also said in the book that he and his brother, Prince William, “begged” their father not to marry Camilla.

No reunion took place

During the daytime visit at home, Harry was not supposed to see his brother nor his sister-in-law Kate Middleton (42), who is currently recovering from surgery.

Sources close to Harry say that he “would have gladly accepted” the opportunity to meet his brother, but he did not have the opportunity.

The day after Harry arrived in Great Britain, he was already on his way back to California to reunite with his wife, Meghan Markle (42), and their two children.

Harry is said to have stayed at a luxury hotel in London for one night, rather than staying with his family at one of the many royal residences spread across the country, he writes. New York Post.

According to Charles' former servant Grant Harold, the Duke likely chose to stay at a hotel to show the royal family that he could “support himself” financially.
