Prince Harry (39) returned to the spotlight on Friday evening at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards, after it became known on the same day that he was withdrawing his libel suit against the British tabloid Mail on Sunday.
turn around
At the awards ceremony, the Duke of Sussex was honored for his skills as a helicopter pilot during a decade of service in the British Army.
John Travolta himself presented the award to the prince.
But it's not just the price itself that's making headlines. On the same evening, the British prince allowed himself to take a photo with another “prince”, which sparked strong reactions, writing among others daily Mail.
The person Harry appears with on camera is Prince Mario Max Schaumburg-Lippe, formerly known as the 'King of Trash TV'.
Mario Max boasts on his website of his family ties dating back to William of Orange, making him a very close relative of the British royal family, the British newspaper wrote.
– Maybe I didn't know
The head of the Schaumburg-Lippe family, Prince Alexander Schaumburg-Lippe, is not a big fan of how Mario Max uses the popular name, and believes he is “using the name for personal gain.”
And now he's warning Harry in the strongest terms possible about the former “King of Trash TV”.
– It is very painful for me, that this man is taking advantage of our name. Prince Harry couldn't sink any more if he appeared in public with him. I advise Harry to stay away from this man!
For his part, Mario Max believes he has the right to use the royal title, having been adopted at the age of twenty-three by a distant relative of the family.
Among other things, he participated in the German version of “Big Brother”, and constantly shares photos on social media with all the celebrities he has met, such as Paris Hilton, Liza Minnelli and Ivana Trump.
Schaumburg-Lippe is a former principality, today located near Hanover in Germany.
