BERGEN (VG) Ragne Wiklund (23) will be presented with an honorary Egeberg award during the Sports Council in Bergen on Saturday.
This award is considered the highest award in Norwegian sport, given to athletes who have excelled in two or more different sports.
Wiklund is the World Figure Skating Champion for Aktiv and a very skilled advisor for Nydalen. In 2023, she won WC gold in the 3000m and silver in the 1500m. The leader of the Egebergs juruen is the former sports president Baur Rogenlein.
She is the 58th winner. The most recent winners are:
- 2015: Astrid Ornholdt Jacobsen (cross-country skiing, athletics).
- 2018: Nils-Erik Ollst (biathlon and cross-country skiing).
- 2019: Birgit Skarsten (skiing and cross-country skiing).
- 2020: Therese Johaug (cross-country skiing, athletics).
- 2023: Ran Weklund (skating and mentoring).
